Size: S - M - L - XL - XXL - XXXL Materials: 350 g for all sizes in colour no 05, pink
CIRCULAR NEEDLE (60 or 80 cm) SIZE 8 mm – or size needed to get 8 sts lace pattern = width 10 cm. And 12 sts x 14 rows in stocking st = 10 x 10 cm. CIRCULAR NEEDLE (60 or 80 cm) SIZE 7 mm - for edges in garter st.
GARTER ST (back and forth on circular needle): K all rows. 1 ridge = 2 rows K.
PATTERN: See diagram A.1. Diagram shows all rows in pattern seen from RS.
INCREASE TIP: Inc by making 1 YO. Work YOs twisted on next row to avoid holes. ---------------------------------------------------------
SHOULDER PIECE: The piece is worked back and forth on circular needle because of no of sts. LOOSELY cast on 152-164-168-180-192-204 sts on 2 circular needles size 7 mm (or 7 + 8 mm) with Verdi. Pull out one circular needle (keep circular needle size 7 mm) and work in GARTER ST – see explanation above (1st row = RS). When piece measures 2 cm, K every 3rd and 4th st tog (= 38-41-42-45-48-51 sts dec) = 114-123-126-135-144-153 sts. When piece measures 4 cm, K every other and 3rd st tog (= 38-41-42-45-48-51 sts dec) = 76-82-84-90-96-102 sts. When piece measures 8 cm - adjust so that next row is worked from RS, dec 26-28-28-30-32-34 sts evenly = 50-54-56-60-64-68 sts. K 1 row from WS. Switch to circular needle size 8 mm and work next row from RS as follows: 4 edge sts in garter st, diagram A.1 until 4 sts remain and finish with 4 edge sts in garter st. Continue pattern like this with 4 sts in garter st in each side. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! When piece measures 13 cm (i.e. 5 cm from edge in garter st), cast on 4 new sts at the end of the next 2 rows for sleeves = 58-62-64-68-72-76 sts. Continue pattern but work the outermost 8 sts in each side in garter st. When 3 ridges in total have been worked in each side, work in garter st only over the outermost 4 sts in each side (work the other sts in pattern). When piece measures 50-54-58-62-66-70 cm, work 3 ridges in garter st over the outermost 8 sts in each side again (work the other sts in pattern). On first row after the 3 ridges, cast off the first 4 sts at beg of row. Work the rest of row, turn piece and cast off the first 4 sts at beg of row = 50-54-56-60-64-68 sts. Continue pattern with 4 sts in garter st in each side. When piece measures 58-62-66-70-74-78 cm, switch to circular needle size 7 mm. K 1 row from RS while AT THE SAME TIME inc 26-28-28-30-32-34 sts evenly - READ INCREASE TIP = 76-82-84-90-96-102 sts. Continue to work in garter st back and forth on needle. When edge in garter st measures 2 cm, inc 38-41-42-45-48-52 sts evenly (i.e. inc after 1st and 2nd st on row, then after every other st) = 114-123-126-135-144-152 sts. When edge in garter st measures 6 cm, inc 38-41-42-45-48-52 sts evenly (i.e. inc after 1st and 2nd st on row, then after every 3rd st) = 152-164-168-180-192-204 sts. When edge in garter st measures 8 cm (the entire piece measures 66-70-74-78-82-86 cm), very loosely cast off while AT THE SAME TIME making a YO after approx. every 5th st to avoid a tight cast-off edge (cast off YO as a st).
ASSEMBLY: Sew side and underarm seams in one in front loop of outermost st - see dotted line in chart.
